At Hammam Retreat and Spa, the main difference between the Moroccan and Turkish baths is the product used during the treatment. The Moroccan Hammam features clay and is designed for deeper cleansing and exfoliation, helping to detoxify the skin and leave it feeling very smooth and refreshed. The Turkish Bath uses coffee and focuses more on relaxation with a gentler cleansing experience, making it ideal for those looking for a soothing and calming treatment.
Spa is located in the ‘Heritage Square Building’ on Macleod and 85th SE
We are located in the Heritage Square Building.
There is free 2-hour parking along side the main entrance or you can find our reserved spot on the North side of the building.
Our treatment rooms are designed to accommodate one client at a time as we strongly believe in the importance of destressing and relaxation without interruption.
If you both wish to book Hammam treatments, we kindly ask that whoever loves the heat has their Hammam second as they will be able to spend almost an hour reaping the benefits of our infrared sauna while the other is experiencing their treatment. Come early if you both want to enjoy lots of sauna time!
Prices vary greatly on the treatment you’re looking for. The best way to receive an accurate estimate is to call and speak directly with one of our specialists at 403-452-7757.
To maintain a peaceful environment for all guests, we kindly ask that cell phones and other electronic devices be silenced while in the spa, and that phone conversations be avoided inside. If you need to take a quick call, we do have a beautiful atrium within the building where you’re welcome to step out.
We suggest arriving a few minutes early for your Hammam appointment, as using the sauna beforehand is beneficial. It helps you relax and prepares your skin for exfoliation. If you’d like to come early, we recommend arriving 15-20 minutes before your appointment.
We accept cash (exact amount), checks, Visa, Mastercard, and our Gift Certificates. Payment is due in full at time of service. A credit card or gift card will be required when scheduling your salon and spa services. Gratuities are at your discretion and are graciously accepted by our talented team of professionals.
Most of our services require preparation time to properly prepare the room for your treatment. Preparations may include the use of products. Due to the timing, cost of preparations, and to hold the room in anticipation of your visit, we kindly ask for the following considerations when booking and canceling an appointment.
50% of the Hammam will be charged in order to reschedule and 100% for all other services. For Gift Certificates, 50% of the service value will be redeemed. For Packages 50% of a single service value, at its regular price, will be redeemed.
We are non-alcoholic spa but feel free to bring anything else, i.e. water, juice etc.
Children under the age of 16 may have treatments as long as they are accompanied by adult who has signed a consent form. If the child is between 16 and 18 years of age, they can have treatments without an adult, but the adult must sign a consent form. All junior treatments must to be approved by the Spa Manager.
If you are uncomfortable with anything during your treatment (e.g. the pressure, the music or the temperature) please feel free to let your therapist know as they will be more than happy to make any necessary adjustments.
When arriving at the spa you may change into a robe and slippers in our changing room for the Hammam treatments or you may go straight to your treatment room as you are for your massage/facial appointments. Swimsuits are optional for female-clients, and we could also provide disposable undergarments upon request. Male clients are kindly asked to wear and keep swim trunks/shorts on during the entire Hammam treatment; disposable options are also available if needed.
Please advise the Spa when making your booking if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, if you suffer from any medical conditions, injuries and allergies or if you have any special requests as some treatments may not be safe or suitable to be carried out.
